Erik 'Grum' Broes is a game developer at Mojang AB. He was originally hired to develop the official modding API and maintain the Minecraft server. In August 2012, his duties were broadened, to include general game development.
Broes has been actively involved with the Minecraft community, and has joined with many prominent Minecraft figures, such as appearing in SethBling's channel in YouTube, a popular and well-known channel regarding Minecraft. His skin is an Elmo skin.
Broes is also currently an admin in the Dutch TweakCraft server. While not active in-game, he is mostly active on the server's IRC channel and mainly works on the server's plugins and coding.
Broes is also well known for his work on the popular Bukkit server mod.
Grum is also part of the modded server "Forgecraft".
Trivia
- Grum ingame has been hidden in many pictures of 1.6 Snapshots (starting with 13w19a), as well as been hidden in Bugfixes.
- Starting in Minecraft 1.6, any mob named Grumm or Dinnerbone or the players themselves will be rendered upside-down.
