Darkness is a status effect that causes the player's vision to dim occasionally. The effect is caused by the Sculk Shrieker and the Warden.
Effect
Just as its name implies, Darkness dims the vision of the player slowly to pitch-black and then slowly goes back to the original vision for a few seconds. Some areas can still be seen while blacking out when properly lighted.
Unlike other effects, Darkness doesn't make any particles on the player while it is active. However, the particle still appears when it is triggered by command.
This effect is similar to Blindness, however it does not prevent sprinting or critical hits, and has a slightly different dimming effect.
