| April 7, 2017 | Minecraft China announced in Water Cube, Beijing. Delegates of Mojang, Microsoft and NetEase attended. |
| April 10, 2017 | Closed beta test began. |
| April 28, 2017 | Beta server closed without saving data. |
| May 20, 2017 | Minecraft server Hypixel announced that a China-exclusive server was to open. |
