Capture the Flag is a multiplayer game mode that had been speculated to be implemented in the full version of Minecraft, which it hasn't.[1] Notch also mentioned that it may be added later.[2]
The objective of this game is for two or more teams to try and bring the item (the "flag") from the enemy base to their own and try to prevent the other team from doing the same. The idea of implementing this game mode has received positive reactions from the fans. It also adds three new items, red flag, blue flag and flag stand. Capture the Flag is played on some multiplayer servers, except instead of using a flag, a hand destroyable block is used, such as dirt, sand, wood, wool, etc. It would still be playable even when this game mode is released, although the Capture the Flag game mode will be a more official and convenient way to play. As said in Minecon [3], Capture the Flag will first be available for Xbox 360, before the PC version (or mobile version).
Some Minecraft Servers, Classic and Regular, use a modification for Capture the Flag. Coded signs, Block formations, or added blocks are used for Capture The Flag.
Some people will use cloth colors like red and blue to play. If you want to play this now use these blocks cloth,dirt, and leaves.
