Capture the Flag is a multiplayer game mode that had been speculated to be implemented in the full version of Minecraft, which it hasn't,[1] Notch also mentioned that it may be added later.[2]
The objective of this game is for two or more teams to try and bring an item (the "flag") from the enemy base to their own and try to prevent the other team from doing the same. The idea of implementing this game mode has received positive reactions from the fans. It also adds three new items, red flag, blue flag and flag stand.Although on some multiplayer severs now, Capture the flag is played except, instead of using a flag, a hand - destroyable block, such as clay, sand, glass, ETC. It would still be playable even when this game mode is released, although Capture the flag game mode will be a more official and convenient way to play.
