Budding amethyst is a block found in amethyst geodes that grows amethyst clusters.

Obtaining

Budding amethysts can currently only be obtained via the Creative inventory or with commands, as they are unobtainable by Survival means, even using a tool enchanted with Silk Touch.

Breaking

Budding amethyst cannot be obtained when mined, even using a tool enchanted with Silk Touch. It will break immediately if pushed by a piston or sticky piston, and cannot be pulled by sticky pistons.

Diamond 0.95
Netherite 0.85
Golden 0.65
 1. Times are for unenchanted tools as wielded by players with no status effects, measured in seconds. For more information, see Breaking § Speed.

Natural generation

Budding amethyst generates naturally as part of amethyst geodes replacing some blocks of amethyst in the innermost layer of the geode.

Usage

Each time budding amethyst receives a random tick, the chance is similar to the growth of cocoa pods with a budding amethyst having a 20% chance of creating amethyst clusters on any of its sides as long as that particular side is only covered in air or water. If there is already an amethyst bud on that particular side, the bud will instead reach its next growth stage.

Sound

Uniquely among other blocks a budding amethyst makes a quiet overlay sound when generally interacted with as well as its block breaking sound when hit with a projectile.

History

May 21, 2009Notch mentioned crystal blocks as a potential block type which can be found in the underground.
October 3, 2020Amethyst-related blocks are mentioned at Minecraft Live 2020. It was mentioned that, like with spawners, blocks that generate amethysts would not be movable by survival means, forcing players to build farms in situ for these resources.
October 6, 2020Budding Amethyst JE1 Cory Scheviak tweeted a screenshot where budding amethyst was seen, unnamed at the moment.

A beetroot is a food and dye ingredient.

Obtaining
Farming
Beetroots are obtained from harvesting a fully grown crop block, which drops 1 beetroot and 1-4 seeds (2 seeds per plant harvested on average). Seed yield can be increased using a tool enchanted with Fortune, with Fortune III harvesting an average of 5 seeds per plant.

These crops can be found growing in villages or can be grown from planted beetroot seeds.<!-- Do not add locations for finding seeds. Where to find seeds is described in the article about the seeds. -->

Usage
Food
A beetroot can be eaten to restore 1 hunger and 1.2 hunger saturation. Six beetroots can be crafted into beetroot soup, which restores six times the hunger and saturation of a single beetroot.

Crafting ingredient
crafting usage

Breeding
Beetroots can be used to breed pigs. Pigs also follow a player who is holding beetroot.

Villagers can pick up beetroot items to become willing, allowing them to breed. Villagers need 12 beetroots before they can breed.

Composting
Placing beetroot into a composter has a 65% chance of raising the compost level by 1.

Trading
Novice-level Farmer villagers have a 25%bedrock or 40%java chance to buy 15 beetroots for an emerald.

The Smarter Watch was a joke offhand item.

Usage
Smarter watches were "equipped" by having them placed into the offhand slot. Upon equipping, they would display the current time above the hotbar, in minutes and seconds, with one minute of in-game time being 5/6 of a real-time second, and one in-game hour being 5/6 of a real-time minute or 50 seconds.

The smarter watch would also notify the player of statistics milestones, alongside taken damage, item specific info, crafting items and more. What exactly?

other kinds of boats

A boat with chest is a single chest occupying the passenger seat of a boat, and functions as such. As it can still be driven it can be used to transport items over bodies of water.

Obtaining
A boat with chest can be directly retrieved by attacking it, as it drops itself in item form, along with its contents.

Tools and weapons with damage above 4 can instantly destroy a boat with chest in one hit.Java

Crafting
Usage
A boat with chest can be used for the transportation of players, mobs and items, or as fuel when smelting.

Fuel
A boat with chest can be used as fuel in a furnace, it lasts 60 seconds, smelting up to 6 items.

Transportation
Boat#Transportation

Boats with chests can carry only one entity while regular boats can carry up to two.

Behavior
Boat#Behavior
Boats with chests share most behaviors with boats.

Item storage
The inventory of the boat with chest has the same amount of slots as a single chest. Its inventory can be accessed by and with the boat with chest, with the part of the boat with chest that actually contains the chest while another player or entity is inside the boat, or by opening the player's inventory while inside the boat. This means that the player cannot access armor slots without exiting the boat.

When a boat with chest moves above, underneath, or beside a hopper, its inventory is filled or drained accordingly. Due to the size of its hitbox, a boat with chest can be placed above up to 9 hoppers, allowing it to evenly split its items nine ways.

Naming
java, unlike most other storage devices, a boat with chest renamed in an anvil does not display the custom name in its GUI.

Piglin
As with other chests, opening or breaking a boat with chest causes nearby piglin(s) to attack the player.

Trivia
* A chest is short enough that a boat with chest falls onto it rather than crashes into it.
* The chest texture is 12×12 pixels, rather than the 14×14 pixel texture the block uses. This is not the case with the minecart with chest.
* Despite the minecart with chest using the Christmas texture, the boat with chest still uses the default chest texture during Christmas time.

}}

La Baguette is a joke weapon from Java Edition 23w13a_or_b. Its stats are identical to a wooden sword, though La Baguette cannot be used to fuel furnaces.

Obtaining
One tricolore and one baguette is given to all players when French mode gets activated.

Repairing
Grinding
|description=The durability of the two baguettes is added together, plus an extra 5% durability. Any enchantments, besides curses, would be removed.
}}

Unit repair
Strangely, La Baguette can be repaired using planks rather than bread, just like a wooden sword.

Usage
La Baguette functions identically to a wooden sword.

Attacking
It can be used to damage mobs for 4 health points. La Baguette has an attack speed of 1.6 and takes 0.625 seconds to recover.

Breaking
La Baguette, just like other swords, can be used to break certain blocks 50% faster. See Sword#Sword breaking times for more.

Enchantments
La Baguette, like other swords, can receive the following enchantments:

Trivia

 • JAPPA has said the reasoning for the 'x' pattern on the block is because "the plane-crystals grow out of it"[1]
