The Boss Update is the name for Minecraft: Pocket Edition version Alpha 0.16.0, an update that was released on October 21, 2016.[1] The iOS version was released a few days later on October 25, 2016.[2]
The official name for the update, the Boss Update, was revealed on August 29, 2016 in a blog post on the Mojang website.[3]
