Usage
Copper blocks have no use except for decoration. They have four stages of weathering (including the initial unweathered state), and advance to the next stage of weathering every 1000–1640 hours (1,200,000–1,967,999 ticks).

Prismarine crystals are items obtained by defeating guardians or elder guardians. They are used along with prismarine shards to craft sea lanterns.
Obtaining
Mob loot
Guardians and elder guardians have a 40% chance and 1 chance, respectively, of dropping prismarine crystals upon death. The maximum drop count is increased by one per level of Looting.
Mining
Prismarine crystals are dropped by sea lanterns when not using a Silk Touch tool. They drop 2–3 crystals each time, which can be increased to a maximum of 5 using the Fortune enchantment.

Trivia
- In real life, copper typically tarnishes to a darker brown color in air due to the buildup of copper oxides and sulfides on the surface. Green oxidation is generally due to copper carbonate and requires carbonate to be present in the atmosphere.
