The Admin noticeboard is one way through which users can notify administrators of issues needing administrative attention. While users are welcome to directly contact specific administrators (especially if they are seen to be active), posting here can be an easier and quicker way of ensuring that at least one admin will notice an issue and respond to it promptly. Remember to sign when posting an issue.

Before posting an issue here, consider the following:

• As this is a noticeboard and not a talk page, please refrain from discussing.
• Post only issues that require administrative action, i.e. blocking vandals, protecting pages, restoring deleted pages etc.
• Do not post deletion requests here. Deletion requests should be made by adding {{delete}} to the top of the target page, which will then automatically mark the page as a candidate for deletion.
• Do not post issues regarding content disputes. Try making a request for comments instead.
• Mediation requests between users should only be made if a resolution could not be reached between users.

In case of vandalism, posting about it here is low priority. Revert it first, anyone can do so. If the vandal created a new page, tag it for deletion. Assume good faith and consider leaving a message on that user's talk page to explain the reason. Post here only if the user has made several disruptive edits and/or persists despite a warning. Always avoid a revert war with the vandal; it is far better to wait until an admin has a chance to intervene.

Bedrock Page Vandalism

I would like to support deadcrow's post about vandalism of the Wheat Faming page by reporting another case of vandalism. Apparently, someone has also copied and pasted the entire Wikipedia article about Autism in place of the Bedrock page information. I have a feeling that it is the same individual that did this. I wanted to try and revert the situation like deadcrow, but after reading his post, I decided to notify the admins instead.

I could not get a suspect name, unfortunately. I think it doesn't matter anymore though. When I went back to check the Bedrock page a few minutes later, it had been restored.

apparent wheat farming page vandalism

I apologize if I'm terribly, terribly off on formatting or otherwise in posting here, but I'd just like to bring up that upon visiting the wheat farming page someone had copied and pasted an entire unrelated article from wikipedia in place of the information that should have been there, which had been completely removed. On my attempt to undo the changes I was barred with the reason that I was attempting to undo a large amount of editing another user had recently submitted, or something along those lines. Now, unless I'm very confused, which honestly happens more than I'd like to admit, this is blatant vandalism. Upon thinking of it I should have tried to get the offenders name, but as one may be able to tell I'm not exactly highly acclimated to the functioning of this website, so I'm doing the best I can. Thanks to whomever may read this by the way.

Added by deadcrow - Also the Snow and Snow Blocks page has been replaced with other content. I tried to revert it, but such a large change was not allowed, and was direct to notify admin...

Change username ?

Hello, I haven't seen anyone ask that question on that wiki before so I'm asking it : I need to change my username. The reason for this is that I want to have the same username on all the forums and wikis I contribute to, and I saw that my current username (THX_1138_4EB (or THX-1138 4EB on the other sites)) isn't usable/available everywhere. For this reason I decided to change it to SwissTHX11384EB on all these sites because it only uses letters and numbers and isn't used anywhere. So, could you please change my username to SwissTHX11384EB with all my data (user page and editing history) transferred to this new name ? This editor keeps copying Data values into their userspace (both user and talk page) - these are the editor's only edits. The userspace copy has already been deleted once, and the talkspace copy was removed and replaced with a comment asking the editor about why they did so. hide or delete recent articles and mojang tweets

Because this completely messes up the wiki layout, there's hardly space left for the articles. Make these boxes hidable, or remove them please. Browser is FF 6, resolution 1024x768 contact me --15:47, 26 August 2011 (UTC)

This makes the shorter wiki articles unreadable on handhelds and smaller laptops. The right side of pictures in galleries are unselectable. If this is implemented, put it at the bottom/top of the page, not to the side where it complicates things. Eligitine 15:58, 16 September 2011 (UTC)

Posting links is snafu'd

Unlogged in users have to preview the page before they can save an edit with links in it; but trying to save requires a captcha to be put in (things like 24-8=? or 3+29=?). The process goes: Click edit page, Put your text in, Be forced to click show preview, Get ability to save and try to do so, Be forced to enter chaptcha but can't click save a second time because it's disabled (i.e. forced to click preview again).

Captcha isn't on preview page but editors are required to be on preview page to save. Captcha requires save to work. So can't save and can't enter captcha. This is especially a problem because it also applies to talk/discussion pages. 75.164.152.61 00:24, 12 September 2011 (UTC)

Moving pages

Just a heads-up to everyone who follows this page, pages should not be moved by copy-pasting them into the new title, they should be moved by using the "Move" link in the dropdown menu immediately to the left of the search box. Pages which have been moved via copy-paste must be history merged to restore their history; this is something that can only be done by administrators. The point is, not everyone crawls Recent Changes and sees edit summaries. It's up to those of us who know better to educate those that don't. The most direct way to do that is on their talk page. Rather than getting wound up and asking for a block of a user, start with discussion. Looks like they are back to reverting edits for the youtube videos. I myself won't touch the undo button any more. As-is it looks like a revert war.
