This article is about server. For official Mojang paid-for servers, see Realms.

Unlike Java Edition server software, Bedrock Edition server software lacks many things that are present in Pocket Edition (such as mob movement/AI and redstone), and is free of Mojang source code, like in Java Edition. However, servers hosted by a third party have plenty of features, but often have a subscription fee.

All Bedrock Edition servers (even the featured servers) use unofficial software because Mojang has not released official server software for Bedrock Edition.
