Bastion remnants are the large, castle-like structures that are found in the Nether in all biomes except Basalt Deltas. Piglins will spawn in this structure on generation. Hoglins may also spawn on generation in bastion remnants which contain hoglin stables. Bastion remnants are the only place where the Pigstep music disc, the piglin banner pattern, and netherite gear (other than the hoe) can be found naturally.

Structure
Bastion remnants generate as 4 types of structures: bridges (with lava underneath), hoglin stables, housing units, and treasure rooms. Each type has its own set of structures that compose it. These structures may be supported by ramparts which contain cave-like paths. Piglins and hoglins spawn frequently throughout.
All bastion remnant structures found below are located in the folder client.jar/data/minecraft/structures/bastion.

Bridge
A bridge bastion remnant.
The bridge consists of a large ruined wall-like structure with a piglin face carved into it. The inside of the "mouth" consists of multiple levels of walkways surrounded by lava. A damaged bridge goes out from the mouth, with a support pillar on the far side.

Hoglin stables
The hoglin stables consist of an open cavity with damaged hoglin stables on either side. Hoglin stable pieces are contained in the subfolder hoglin_stable.

Housing units
The housing units consist of multiple ruined towers arranged around a central courtyard with nether wart growing in the middle. Housing unit pieces are contained in the subfolder units.

Treasure room
The structure consists of a large wall supported by buttresses, with a bridge going between it and the treasure room itself.
The treasure room consists of many bridges suspended above a lava floor. At the bottom of a treasure room, there is a magma cube spawner, and a center loot area. The center loot area consists of either blocks of gold or a nether wart farm. One or two chests will also generate which can spawn with enchanted netherite gear. Treasure room pieces are contained in the subfolder treasure.

The inventory of the boat with chest has the same amount of slots as a single chest. Its inventory can be accessed by {{Control|Sneak|text=sneaking}} and {{Control|interact|text=interacting}} with the boat with chest, {{control|interact|text=interacting}} with the part of the boat with chest that actually contains the chest while another player or entity is inside the boat, or by opening the player's {{Control|inventory}} while inside the boat. This means that the player cannot access armor slots without exiting the boat.
When a boat with chest moves above, underneath, or beside a [[hopper]], its inventory is filled or drained accordingly. Due to the size of its hitbox, a boat with chest can be placed above up to 9 hoppers, allowing it to evenly split its items nine ways.

With a mob on a lead held by the player, {{control|using}} the lead on any type of [[fence]] (or [[wall]]{{only|bedrock|short=1}}) attaches the lead to it with a visible knot, tying the mob to it. To attach it to a wall on Bedrock Edition, the player must hold a lead in the main hand.<ref>{{bug|MCPE-108078}}</ref> Multiple leads may be attached to one fence post. A mob tied to a fence tends to stay within 5 blocks of the fence post.
A lead is broken by pressing the {{control|use item}} control on the mob again, hitting the knot, or removing the attached fence post. Leads also break when hit by projectiles. Whenever a lead is removed or broken, it drops as an [[item (entity)|item]] at the location of the mob. However, it does not drop when unleashed in Creative mode.{{only|java}}<ref>{{bug|MCPE-79639}}</ref> A lead does not break if the attached animal dies.
A lead can stretch a maximum of 10 blocks. If the mob is able to move towards the player or fence post, it does so. If not, or if the mob is moving very quickly away from the player, the lead breaks.
When the player or the knot is more than 7 blocks above the ground, the mob being leashed becomes suspended.
Most mobs that can be leashed can still be leashed even if attacking the player leashing them, and any attached leads do not break.
[[Wolf|Wolves]] cannot be leashed after becoming angry. Despite this, if they become angry while already leashed, the lead does not break, but it cannot be reattached when broken through other methods while the wolf is still angry.
A lead attached to a hoglin breaks if it becomes a [[zoglin]].
A lead does not prevent mobs from despawning if they normally would despawn.
When moving downwards and accelerating towards the ground, leashed mobs accumulate fall damage and take it if they hit the ground while still accelerating. When moving up or decelerating (such as when the lead is stretched to its limit), the fall distance is set to one block and the mob therefore does not take any fall damage if it touches the ground.
If the player walks into and back out of a [[nether portal]] while holding a lead connected to a mob, the lead remains attached to the mob. However, if a mob attached to a lead walks into a nether portal, the lead breaks and drops as an item in the other dimension.
A lead can be used to remove a mob from a boat without needing to break the boat, if the mob can normally be leashed.
If a chunk unloads while containing a leashed mob (either by the player walking too far away, or traveling to another dimension via a portal), the lead breaks and drops as an item, leaving the mob free to wander around.

Bows can be drawn back by {{control|using}} them. In order to use a bow, the player must have at least one [[arrow]] in their [[inventory]] or be in [[Creative]] mode. The arrow that is shown inside the bow always looks like a regular arrow, regardless of what kind of arrow is actually being shot from the bow.<ref>{{bug|MC-87685||Drawn bow texture does not reflect arrow that will be shot|WF}}</ref>
When drawing a bow, the display zooms in slightly. Charging the bow to its maximum causes it to visually shake as an indicator. Releasing the button shoots an [[arrow]]. Drawing a bow can be canceled by switching to another hotbar slot while holding use.
While the bow is being charged or remains fully charged, the player is forced to move at [[sneaking]] speed, unless they are riding a [[horse]], [[minecart]] or [[boat]], or flying with [[elytra]]. It is not possible to [[Sprinting|sprint]] while charging a bow or holding a drawn bow. When the bow is released, normal motion resumes although any prior sprint is cancelled. Sneaking while drawing the bow makes the player move even slower.

The game stores the damage of arrows even in values with a decimal point. For example, it is possible for a critical arrow shot to cause damage values such as 6.4. In this cases of a broken value, the game can round up or down and store the amount for subsequent damage sources.
Any projectile thrown by the player is under the influence of momentum in current versions of ''Minecraft''. Naturally, the player's movement speed can be modified under a number of circumstances, affecting the ballistic trajectory of projectiles, and as a result, the damage inflicted by arrows.
In [[Java Edition Combat Tests]], to avoid sniping, arrows shot from fully-charged bows become non-critical if held drawn back for longer than three seconds. Instantaneous effects on tipped arrows are scaled by 1/8, just like the duration of other effects. For example, Instant Damage I arrow will deal an additional {{hp|0.75}} magical damage.
Damage caused by the arrow is not affected by the [[Strength]] effect.

As in real life, a flying [[arrow]] in ''Minecraft'' is affected by gravity. Its vertical speed is modified by one block downward every second, resulting in a {{w|Parabola|parabolic}} flight path. An arrow slows down if shot through water, reducing its damage to near zero unless brought back into the air or otherwise given momentum.{{Only|Java}}
Arrows that hit solid [[blocks]] become stuck and can be retrieved, unless the arrow was shot by a bow [[enchant]]ed with [[Infinity]], a player in Creative mode, or a mob.
An arrow shot through [[lava]] ignites, giving it the effect of the [[Flame]] enchantment, igniting any entity it hits. If not extinguished, the fire inflicts up to {{hp|4}} damage. Although a [[wither skeleton]] does not spawn naturally with bows, if it holds a bow then it also shoots flaming arrows.
On impact, an arrow can trigger a wooden [[pressure plate]], [[target]] block, [[wooden button]], or [[tripwire]]. Arrows cannot trigger stone pressure plates or stone buttons.
The player can choose the type of arrow to shoot based on its location in the inventory. Arrows in the off-hand, or the selected hotbar slot if the bow is in the off-hand, are prioritized first. If there are no arrows in the off-hand or selected hotbar slot then the arrow closest to [[Inventory#Slots|slot 0]] is selected.
