Adventure mode is a game mode intended for player-created maps by limiting some of the gameplay in Minecraft, in which the player cannot directly destroy most blocks to avoid spoiling adventure maps or griefing servers. Most blocks cannot be destroyed without the proper tools (axe:wood; pickaxe:stone). However, players can still interact with mobs and craft items.
While it is possible to play a "regular" survival Minecraft game in adventure mode, it is quite difficult to do so. Most of the time is spent collecting food to replenish the food bar. Because players cannot immediately collect blocks, players usually do not have time to construct a shelter before the first night. For this reason, it is essential for players to search for NPC Villages or any other structures that are safe from hostile mobs. It is recommended that beginners enable cheats or bonus chests before creating a world.
Command blocks are intended for use in adventure mode gameplay.
Features
- Most blocks cannot be destroyed by hand, and require corresponding tools(See below).
- Interaction with mechanisms as well as trading is allowed.
- Compatible in multiplayer.
- The gamemode is not accessible when first creating a world, but is through cheats, by typing /gamemode 2 <playername>, /gamemode a (playername) or /gamemode adventure <playername>
- Use of Modding API.[1]
Uses and Tips for Adventure Mode
- You can use it as a useful way to partially protect your server from griefing, since blocks cannot be broken by hand in this mode, but can be broken with appropriate tools.
- Because of these breakables, you may want to keep tools out of the hands of griefers until you install a protection plugin.
- Adventure Mode can be used for adventure maps, and the breakables can add an interesting feeling to the map. If you only want your players to have a tool at a certain point of time, you can connect a pressure plate with /clear @p(or @a for all players) <itemID>.

|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| ? | Adventure mode, formerly Dungeons and Levers, was announced by Notch on July 7, 2010.[2] Notch hinted at four players to compete in Adventure mode. Adventure mode may include permadeath like in Hardcore mode, making it rogue-like in nature,[3] and may have a quest system with randomly generated maps/quests.[4] | ||||

Once a photo has been taken using the camera, it appears in the portfolio. Once equipped, right-clicking brings up a two-page book of photos the player has taken, in chronological order. Captions can be added below each picture. Pressing the "Export Portfolio" button creates a .zip file with all photos as JPGs in a specified folder. The portfolio is also used to load custom items in Minecraft China.

The Reality vision was a joke helmet.
Usage
Reality vision was equipped via the helmet slot. When equipped, it showed a minimap in the bottom-center of the screen (which moved when the player's camera moves). The minimap showed all chunks that were currently rendered. The player's location was represented by a green beacon beam marker on the map.
It displayed a vision overlay (similar to the pumpkin overlay). The overlay would change to a new overlay if the player went into third person (unlike the pumpkin overlay), which made the screen appear like an old television screen. The overlay was called <code>cantseeshit<!-- Do not change this; this is that word that is actually used-->captain.png</code> in the assets folder. It activated a shader when equipped (<code>scan_pincushion</code>).
