Adventure mode is a game mode intended for adventuring in which the player cannot place or destroy blocks, so as to avoid spoiling adventure maps by changing the map. The player can still interact with blocks that can be toggled, such as doors, levers, and buttons. The player can also still deal damage to mobs and trade with villagers.
It is likely that one would import and use custom adventure maps to be played, as a new map would not have much purpose or customizability, and a custom map would control certain aspects of the gameplay as well.
In Adventure mode, the player cannot simply get resources by breaking items or by destroying or building blocks. The only way the player can get certain resources is by killing mobs, looting chests or trading with villagers. However, depending on what type of an adventure it may be, many of these features are unnecessary, or often unavailable by conventional means. It may also be a way to cheat on a map that restricts the acquisition of specific objects.
Although it is impossible to destroy blocks manually, it remains possible to use an explosion to get some resources. However, this may ruin
the aspect of gameplay by acting as a way to cheat a map, as well as an annoyance from Creepers, and is controllable using the mobGriefing server command. Explosions can also damage a map, rendering it unplayable or ruined.
While it is possible to play a normal Minecraft game in Adventure mode, it is quite difficult to do so. Most time is spent collecting food to
replenish the ever-dwindling food bar. It is possible to collect some trade goods such as wool, raw porkchops, and wheat (by jumping on the wheat found in villages), as well as finding chests in blacksmiths, dungeons, abandoned mineshafts, and strongholds. Wood can only be obtained by using a Creeper near log structures and trees.
It is a work-in-progress. These could possibly include new NPCs, a way to make specific chat show up at specific times, or randomly generated quests, possibly through a world setting or NPCs.
Features
- Blocks cannot be placed or destroyed.
- Interaction with mechanisms as well as trading is allowed.
- Compatible in multiplayer.
- This game mode is accessible in cheats, by typing /gamemode 2 <playername> or /gamemode adventure <playername>
- Currently does not include permadeath.
- Use of Modding API.[1]
- Tools can be used (except flint and steel).
History

|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| ? | Adventure mode, formerly Dungeons and Levers, was announced by Notch on July 7, 2010.[2] Notch hinted at four players to compete in Adventure mode. Adventure mode may include permadeath like in Hardcore mode, making it rogue-like in nature,[3] and may have a quest system with randomly generated maps/quests.[4] | ||||

Super fertilizer can be used in the same way as normal bone meal. It produces more flowers in a larger area when used on grass blocks compared to bone meal. When super fertilizer is used on a sapling, a tree is instantly grown after one use, instead of multiple uses as with bone meal. Super fertilizer matures crops with just one single use.
Note that super fertilizer doesn't instantly a hanging mangrove propagule, likely due to a bug.

A pufferfish is a poisonous food item that is used to brew Water Breathing potions.
Obtaining
Fishing
Pufferfish can be obtained through fishing. The pufferfish catch rate can be increased by Lure, which reduces wait time generally.
<!--1-6 exp-->
bedrock, pufferfish can be caught only when fishing outside jungle biomes and its variants (i.e. everywhere except in jungles).
Mob loot
Guardians and elder guardians
Guardians and elder guardians have a 2.5% chance of dropping a random fish upon death. This has a 13% chance of being pufferfish (0.325% chance of dropping a pufferfish). The chance of getting a fish can be increased by 1% per level of Looting, but the type of fish is not affected.
Pufferfish
Pufferfish always drop 1 pufferfish in its item form when killed. This drop is not affected by the Looting enchantment.
Usage
Food
Pufferfish restores 1 hunger and 0.2 saturation, but inflicts Hunger III for 15 seconds, Poison II for 1 minute, and Nausea I[JE only] or II[BE only] for 15 seconds. Unlike rotten flesh, it is not helpful to eat pufferfish while starving because they inflict more hunger than they earn.

Trading
Master-level fisherman villagers buy 1~4 or four pufferfish for an emerald.
Wolves
Bedrock, pufferfish can be used to feed a wolf, healing it by , but only when the wolf is not at full health. Unlike other wolf food, pufferfish cannot be used to speed up the growth of baby wolves, and cannot be used to breed them.

Trivia
* The consumption of pufferfish inflicting the player with Nausea and Poison is based on reality. Real pufferfish contain the dangerous tetrodotoxin within their organs, especially in the liver. Tetrodotoxin leads to quick death through respiratory paralysis. Muscle tissue and blood contain trace amounts. In East Asia, pufferfish are considered a delicacy known as fugu, as small parts of the fish are actually edible. Any chef preparing fugu must have special licensing/certification to prepare this dish.

Bugs
- There is a bug where paintings and item frames can be broken (but not placed). This is because they are considered entities.
- Sometimes the player cannot equip armor from a chest if they have more than two items in their inventory.
- Signs can be placed in adventure mode.
- You can destroy tall grass and crops with a sword in adventure mode. Also, if you attempt to harvest a block with the correct tool (ex. getting dirt from a shovel), then you can actually break the block and get its resource. If you use the wrong tool, then it will not break (tested in snapshot 12w34b). It is not confirmed, but might be a planned feature.
