Similarity?

Is it just me or is this basically a nether slime? -fireglo450

Basically, yes (at least in terms of usefulness). However, the .png file is quite different from that of the slimes, and is called "lava." So I am NOT in favor of calling them "Nether slimes." That just sounds silly. -cal-erstein

Unfortunately it's a slime's reskin. Mojang workers are just twirling on their seats instead of doing their jobs and adding a very new separate mobs, :( Xeoxer 20:12, 23 September 2011 (UTC)

If you follow the "Magma Ball" link it tells you that it is NOT an item, and I would assume not a drop. Provided this is true, I move that the drop be changed to unknown, none, or some such.
