Alpha 0.14.0 is an upcoming update to Minecraft Pocket Edition with no set release date. It may also be the last update in the Alpha phase.

  • If the player falls off the dimension into The Void, they will be awakened with 9 remaining.
  • If the player dies in the Dream Dimension, they will respawn at their bed in the Overworld.

Planned changes

Gameplay

• Health
  • Now heals 1 hearts for every 2 () hunger taken.
    • This is similar to the changes to health regeneration made in 1.6.1.

  • Now soaks up a 16x16 area of water blocks if in any type of water source (river, ocean, etc.)

• Saddles
  • Can now be saddled onto pigs to ride them.
• Slimeball's
  • Can now be crafted into slime block's

  • Now placeable on armor stands

World generation

• Height limit of worlds is now increased to y: 256
• Biomes
  • Plains
    • Slightly flattened out the terrain a bit more.
    • Horses can now spawn in Plains biomes
• The Nether
  • Modified cave generation to be more precise and "exciting".

Mobs

  • Can now be ridden using a saddle.
• Sheep
  • Now drop 1-2 raw or cooked mutton upon death.
• Enderman
  • Now drops 1-3 ender pearls upon death.
