방벽(Barrier)는 통과 불가능한 경계를 만드는 데 사용되는 고체 블록이다.

획득 방법

방벽은 /give와 같은 명령을 통해서만 획득할 수 있다. 명령 블록, 직소 블록, 구조물 블록 처럼, 크리에이티브 보관함에도 없으며, 바닐라 서바이벌 모드에서 깨뜨릴 수 없다.

자연적 생성

방벽은 디 엔드의 섬 사이에 생성된다.‌^{[Legacy Console Edition 전용]}

사용법

방벽 블록은 주로 통과하지 못하게 하는 블록으로 사용되며, 표준 서바이벌 모드 플레이에선 깨뜨릴 수 없다. 예를 들어, 방벽은 플레이어, 몹, 기타 개체가 들어갈 수 없는 제한 영역을 보호하는데 사용된다. 깨뜨릴 수 없는 다른 블록(예: 기반암)과는 달리, 방벽 블록은 보이지 않는다는 차이가 있다.

플레이어의 보관함에서 블록은 사선이 그어진 빨간 상자로 표시되지만, 설치하면 완전히 안보인다.

방벽은 빛에 투명하며, 신호기를 막지 않는다. 울타리, 철창, 유리판 등의 블록은 시각적으로 방벽에 연결되지 않는다. 다른 블록과 몹에게는 방벽이 고체 블록으로 작용한다. 고체 블록 위에만 설치할 수 있는 횃불이나 레드스톤 등은 방벽 위에 설치할 수 있으며, 몹을 질식시킨다. 몹은 방벽 위에 스폰되지 않는다.

크리에이티브 모드에서 플레이어가 손에 방벽 블록을 들고 있으면, 설치된 모든 방벽 블록은 방벽 아이콘을 입자로 표시한다. 이 효과는 클라이언트 쪽에서 생성되므로, 서바이벌 모드에서는 입자가 표시되지 않는다. 방벽 블록은 입자 설정을 "최소"(minimal)로 설정하면 보이지 않는다.

방벽 블록은 피스톤으로 밀 수 없다. 또한 어떠한 깨지지 않는 블록보다도 폭발 저항이 크다.

방벽 블록은 물 소스 블록에 설치하면 침수된다. ‌^{[Bedrock Edition 전용]}

여담

• The symbol used is not compliant with ISO 3864-1, as the diagonal line is mirrored.
• Invisible bedrock, a technical block in Bedrock Edition and New Nintendo 3DS Edition, shares many features with the barrier block.
• The barrier block is in the Legacy Console Edition of the game, but requires an inventory editor/external tool.
• This block has a higher blast resistance than any other unbreakable block in the game.
• In Minecraft 4k, there is barrier on the bottom of the map, which is unbreakable by any means.
• The barrier's blockstate file in the game's assets is functionally identical to most standard blocks in the game, using a single, unnamed variant which uses block/barrier as a model.
  • The barrier's vanilla block model only defines what texture to use for block breaking particles, and doesn't have a parent model or anything that would give the block a physical shape.
    • However, using a custom resource pack that modifies the barrier block model to use the block/cube_all parent model (which is used by most simple blocks with only one texture) with the barrier item's texture as the block's texture will still not allow barriers to render.
