난독화 맵은 클래스를 새로 만든 Proguard의 맵핑을 말한다.[1] 난독화 맵은 자바 에디션 19w36a 이후의 모든 자바 에디션 런처에 나온 버전의 난독화 맵을 client.json에 넣었으며, 또한 자바 에디션 1.14.4도 자바 에디션 19w36a이 출시한 이후에 난독화 맵을 새로 배포하였다.[2]
사용
난독화 맵은 난독화된 스택 추적(충돌 보고서의 경우)을 읽을 수 있는 스택 추적에 다시 매핑할 수 있다.[3]
Dinnerbone과 Adrian Östergård는 난독화 맵을 이용하면 모딩을 쉽게 할 수 있다고 언급했다.[4][5] 또한 Searge는 난독화 맵이 Mod Coder Pack이나 서드 파티 프로그램를 대체할 수 있음을 암시했다.[6]

- 19w36a (2019년 9월 4일) 이후로 나온 모든 자바 에디션은 전투 테스트 3를 제외하고 모두 난독화 맵이 함께 나왔다.
- 자바 에디션 전투 테스트와는 다르게, 자바 에디션 1.14.4의 난독화 맵이 나왔다.
- 모든 중요한 전투 테스트 버전은 난독화 맵이 나왔다.
- 20w06a는 2020년에 출시됬는데도 불구하고 라이선스에
