The first time a specific trade is done, the villager will become willing; any other time there's a 1 in 5 chance it will become willing again.
When a baby villager is born, both parents lose their willingness.
Villagers become willing to breed by consuming food: 3 bread or 12 potatoes or 12 carrots.
Finding out a villager's willingness in survival is achieved by counting the amount of xp given when trading:
Normal trading yields 3–6 experience points.
Changes to the farmer (profession) villager AI:
Harvest, collect and replant grown potato, carrot & wheat crops.
Craft wheat into bread.
Share food with other villagers.
Wither skeletons
Hitbox has been changed from 2.5 to 3 blocks.
Zombie pigmen
Adult zombie pigmen will forgive after a short time (and lose the aggression speed boost), but will continue to attack until the player escapes their aggression distance.
Baby zombie pigmen are now always hostile to players who have ever attacked them.
The only way to obtain gold nuggets and gold ingots from zombie pigmen, is now for the player to kill them, whether it's through combat, potions, or player-activated mechanisms such as manually lit TNT.
If killed without player intervention, zombie pigmen now only drop rotten flesh.
The weapon holding position of zombie pigmen has now been changed.
Now craftable and naturally generates in Giant Tree Taiga variants, Mesa Forest PlateauMutated Mesa Plateau, Shattered Savanna and Shattered Savanna Plateau biomes.
Was formerly called "grassless dirt", and had the same appearance as normal dirt, was not craftable, dropped normal dirt when broken, and was not available in the creative inventory.

Plantilla:Guide nav
This guide is a simplified overview of all the changes in the Combat Update (Java Edition 1.9.x releases), which assumes at least some familiarity with the Bountiful Update (Java Edition 1.8.x releases).
The ender dragon can be respawned by placing one end crystal on each side of the exit portal at any one of the three blocks of that side.
While respawning, beams shoot out of these crystals, that will reset all the pillars and when done they blow up and spawn the dragon.
Subsequent dragons will spawn new gateways up to a total of 20, but won't create new dragon eggs and will only drop 500 experience instead of the usual 12,000.
When the dragon is respawned, the circle of pillars and the crystals reappear.
Explosion particles appear on the tops of the pillars as they are being rebuilt.
The fight has been changed to be more similar to the one on the console edition.
They can no longer take damage from snowballs, eggs or fishing rods.
Its attacks have been changed:
The "charge" attack has been given a great amount of knockback.
Breathes fire/purple particles (called "dragon breath") while on top of the portal.
During the attack, it knockbacks and damages all players on all angles in the vicinity (as if hitting with other body parts).
Immediately charges the player right after.
Right-clicking the dragon's breath cloud with an empty bottle will turn in into dragon breath.
It is used to transform splash potions into lingering potions.
Shoots special projectiles at the player called "ender acid".
These produce a dragon breath cloud on impact and light the ground on fire.
While on top of the portal arrows will bounce back and be set on fire.
NBT tags can determine the dragon's phase.
Its AI was changed:
It sometimes returns to the center of the island to "perch" on top of the portal and shoot dragon breath.
It charges right after.
Defends the Obsidianaa pillars more, the further the fight progresses.
Flies back to the portal once it gets killed, to complete its animation.
No longer teleports through Nether portals or End portals.
Can no longer ride anything.
Can no longer have status effects.
Summoning it with /summon will now stay in the same position no matter what.
Unlike summoning a dragon with {NoAI:1b}, it will still flap its wings.
These dragons do not show their boss health bar, nor do they take damage from any attack other than /kill.
Iron Golem
Iron golems all have 100% knockback resistance.
Pigs
Pigs can be led and bred with potatoes and beetroots, in addition to carrots.

Now shows animation for variant states in the hotbar/inventory for some items.
Armor
Armor points count for less as the attack strength increases: each Plantilla:Health done by the attack reduces the effective defense points by Plantilla:Armor, but not below 20% of the armor points.
Hitting a player who is blocking with a shield using an axe has a chance to disable the player's shield for 5 seconds.
Boat
Added spruce, birch, jungle, acacia and dark oak variants.
Crafted from 5 same variant planks, with the shape just as it was before.
The previous "Boat" is now called "Oak Boat".
Boats have a new model, with a pair of paddles on it.
Enchanted Golden Apple
Enchanted golden apples are now uncraftable.
Now have Plantilla:EffectLink II for 20 seconds (heal Plantilla:Health in total) and Plantilla:EffectLink IV for 2 minutes (providing 16 × 8 points of absorption health).
Arrows now bounce off of creative mode players, where as before they would pass straight through.
Arrows now take the thrower's motion into account.
Boat
Plantilla:Animate
Boats are faster, and no longer will crash and break on the shore.
Using the left and right keys will now turn the boat.
Using the mouse will no longer turn the boat.

Holding the sprint keys no longer have any effect.
Boats now sink when there's water above it, instead of floating upwards.
The player cannot use or attack while the boat is in motion.
Mobs and armor stands can go into boats, with a maximum of two.
Riding a boat no longer subjects water-sensitive mobs to being damaged by water, and no longer protects sunlight-sensitive mobs from being damaged by sunlight.
Boats now come in 6 different wood type variants.
Projectiles

They are ordered by the time of infliction from right to left.
Positive effects are on the top row and negative effects on the bottom row.
